If you live in Southern California, then setting up an appointment with Kartar is only a phone call away. You will be provided with a complete analysis of your property, usually at the time of the visit. For large or complex homes, a follow-up written report will be provided within a week after touring the property. All of your questions and concerns will be answered. This comprehensive analysis will reveal both long term and short term effects that your house is having on you.

Whether you live in a house, a condominium, or an apartment, all of these spaces can be evaluated. It doesn't matter whether you own or rent; you are living in the space so it is affecting you.

If your business or work space is in Southern California, then you can also easily arrange to have Kartar review the space in person. All the specific needs of your work environment will be taken into consideration, as well as the employees to whatever degree the company owner desires.

Kartar has assessed hundreds of businesses and they all have their unique features: what you do with a dance studio is different than a police station. And what you need for a shopping mall is different than a golf course. Long Distance Clients

With enough advance notice, you can arrange to bring Kartar to your home or business outside of Southern California. Travel expenses and accommodations will be paid for by the client, in addition to normal fees for the project or a flat out-of-town day rate.

Some of Kartar's dearest clients have been long distance and she looks forward to the experience of coming to your area. As recently as thirty years ago, there really weren't any feng shui masters living in the United States, so they all had to fly in from Taiwan or Hong Kong. Remember, 90% of the information you will receive about your property will be good for decades.

Consultations By Mail

Very affordable consultations can be done by mail when you provide a floor plan sketch, a compass reading, and photos or video of your property. Kartar has been providing consultations by mail for people all over the world with very positive feedback.

The obvious question is, "Aren't you missing a lot by not being here in person?"
To answer that question, we agree that an in-person consultation would be better, but what about people who live in areas where there is no experienced or highly trained local feng shui consultant? And what if you cannot afford to bring Kartar out in-person? Even though there are many enthusiastic dabblers, the truth is that there are relatively few competent, full-time consultants and they are spread far and wide.

Feng Shui Solutions provides a Consumer Tip Guide that can be emailed to you if you request it. It has a series of questions you can ask any local consultant to get a sense of whether or not you are going to get comprehensive, advanced advice. All too often Kartar is brought in as a second opinion, where the client complains that a former consultant hardly told them anything of value but charged a lot of money.

A potential client once asked, "So what kinds of things are you missing by not being here in person?" Kartar saved her reply for this website, "Some of my five senses will not be utilized, although we can certainly discuss those aspects. For instance, if I am not there in person I cannot tell if your house has mold or smells like mildew. I cannot feel if your house is damp or drafty. I cannot hear your neighbors who scream 24 hours per day or know that your house is backed up to a busy, noisy street. And yet, these potential problems are not extremely common. If a long distance client clues me in to these exterior or environmental irritants, then we can address it in the report as well.

About 90% of the analysis is based on things I can see, so as long as you provide an accurate floor plan and plenty of photos, it feels to me as if I am there. I have been very impressed with my long distance clients who provide such good photos, DVDs, or virtual tour links to homes they want to buy.

So even though I respect my professional peers who refuse to provide long distance reports, I know that I can do them with a clear conscience because of the feedback I have received from so many about how accurate they are."

Whether it is local or long distance, using feng shui in the design phase is one of the smartest ways to utilize this vast body of knowledge. Working with the client, architect or designer before plans are finalized will ensure that you can benefit the most from new or remodeled spaces.

Why create a master bedroom addition that looks great, but which will over time, undermine your health or relationships? Why build a house facing a certain direction when shifting it a mere 5 degrees on the lot could make the difference between a house that is good or bad for money? Why expand a really negative part of the house when you could just as easily enlarge a positive part of the house? If you are gutting the house and removing the roof, what kind of new energy will you create?

Kartar's design phase services also include the best time to break ground. This helps ease the stress and strain of any building project and helps reduce delays, injuries to workers or aggravations to the occupants if they are living on the premises during remodel or construction.

If you have the ability to first choose the land where you will build, that can also be factored into a local or long distance evaluation.

Feng Shui Solutions can help you narrow the search and quickly analyze a property for both local and long distance clients. For local clients, Kartar is often already familiar with the area in which you may be looking. Sometimes clients provide their own compass readings and fax over floor plan sketches to begin the process. Kartar can often work it into her schedule to go by the property in person to get a more complete perspective. She is involved in escrows on a regular basis.

Long distance clients will also provide compass readings, floor plans, and with the help of the Internet we can sometimes go on virtual tours hosted by the real estate agent. We help verify a clients' compass reading by looking up the magnetic declination of the city and satellite photos sometimes allow us to get an aerial view of the neighborhood!

Annual Updates

Energy is not stagnant and circumstances change over time. All of Kartar's clients have the opportunity to manage the changing energy in their home or business with an annual update each year. In the initial consultation you are provided with long term recommendations, as well as remedies that are pertinent to the current yearly cycle your home or business is in. Feng Shui is a predictive art and while the permanent remedies are the most important, it is the yearly energies which act as triggers for things to happen in a certain time frame.

As an example, in an annual update you can be informed of such things as whether or not it is a good year to remodel an area. You can find out if it will be an easy or difficult year to attract a mate, get pregnant, advance in your career or deal with a specific health issue.
